Despite how things are going, the SNP are genuinely vulnerable, and Labour did profit from that at the last Westminster election in Scotland. The main thing holding them back from repeating that is Starmer.

I don't think it will actually work out this way, but Sarwar could really use this situation to his advantage and draw a clear line between Scottish Labour and the current government. I think it requires both more support in the party and more boldness than he has, though

"You need to distance yourself from Starmer" should've been obvious advice a couple weeks into the new government.
