- Swoop in on a wave of disgust at the GOP
- Try to work with the GOP on crap policy
- Lose the next election when unenthusiastic Dem voters don't show up
- Misunderstand the loss, go MORE bipartisan
- Lose big to the GOP
- Repeat

the only time the filibuster has ever been used to protect a particular interest of a set of states is to kill anti-lynching and civil rights legislation. that's it.

I don’t know how we’ve gotten to the point where men in full balaclavas can abduct daycare teachers while they’re watching children.
