The epitranscriptome formed by the growing number of modifications occurring within mRNA transcripts.

We have been mapping mRNA modifications for over a decade.

=> Characterizing their functions -- especially on translation -- is a research frontier.

"Fundamental Research was the starting point of our journey at ACTOSens. Without years of studying molecular interactions in academic labs, we would not have developed our biosensor platform for STI diagnostics. It was basic science that allowed us to see what others missed – and turn it into a practical, life-improving technology," said Karel Lacina, Founder & CEO, ACTOSens (Czech Republic)

Until our crystal ball can tell us exactly what we'll discover before we start looking, we always need to remain open to curiosity-driven research opportunities and to the value of improving our fundamental understanding of the body, diseases, potential treatments and society.
