Im still rolling from the Last Podcast show last night. The Q&A post show was just a bunch of people weirdly trauma dumping at 3 Podcasters and I was in awe and impressed by how well they managed to handle it. Fantastic trip, but lol.

Also the games industry is burning around me daily. I'm able to weather the storm no matter what comes but it's demoralizing seeing studios and teams I know affected and feeling helpless to make a difference. It always comes in waves but this one has been unending, let us breathe!

Im taking some time off soon to recalibrate my brain. It's been non stop context switching, high stakes decision making and just general stress at work while I closed a particularly hard phase of production. I knew the role would be hard but holy shit.

The shadow drop of Oblviion Remastered is such a delight. I am having such a great time seeing it in spectacular next gen jank and crying at the weird facial animations and skinning lmao. I also somehow got my switch 2 pre-order despite it selling out online in 30 seconds.

My specialty professionally is as a project "closer". That means my entire career is coming in late in a project and pulling my hair out while screaming "why the fuck would you do that" as I review some of the dumbest decisions made by human minds & having to somehow fix them with no budget or time.

I foolishly thought that reaching executive level i would have some semblance of control and room to breathe (isn't it the meme that bosses do nothing?). I have been tremendously mistaken!!
