There are many things that should not be entirely or at all for profit, healthcare is a great example, and I think food is one of those things, we can decommodify certain foods and food categories with regulations on the profit margins.

I love the idea of public grocery stores to enhance access and increase competition and reduce costs, @nolore.bsky.social has a great write up of it here, but I would also like to decommodify a lot of the grocery store items to further decrease food costs
