Today I am grateful for Pete Hegseth for giving me a new 'rock bottom' with which to measure my bad days.

I think their instincts are correct. And when the race inevitably narrows — and it will — having drama-free candidates who can reliably deliver safe seats will be crucial.

If they ignore all that though, it's great news for the NDP candidate who runs against her.
