A teenage 4channer was beat up by two 15 year olds in DC, which was spotted and quickly stopped by nearby police. He told his friends, the richest man in the world and the Vice President of the United States, that he was pummeled by a dozen adult Romanians. A week later, Trump federalized DC police.

I immediately thought about that article when I saw this. She was a federal worker who lost her job during the DOGE purges. When asked why she voted for Trump she said it was for the IVF. So now no job and no IVF. She also thought only the DEI hires would be fired. It was hard to feel sorry for her…

I'm patiently waiting until the stage is over so I can avoid work this afternoon by watching the replay on Peacock. I don't know anything about cycling but I've been fascinated by it all and have watched every stage. I knew today was the big mountain day and am excited to see it

There is nothing "easy" about a 7 mile run in the summer. That was my long run on Saturday and I did it at 7:00 a.m. to beat the heat. I did not beat the heat.

You wouldn't be as good at your job as you are if you didn't have a heart. And sadly, hearts get broken. But you have a whole community here that supports you and wants you to succeed. So let yourself feel your feelings now and then when you are ready reset so you can continue the fight.

I have a few pairs that I only wear for running. They are not everyday socks for me. But for running, especially long distances, they are fantastic.

I don't want to do my running workout today either (ladder drills on a freaking hill!) but now I guess I have to just suck it up and get out there.

Subway car filled with people in running gear traveling to the start line of the NYC Half Marathon in Brooklyn

One of my favorite moments from doing the NYC Half Marathon was taking the subway out to Prospect Park in Brooklyn at 5am. Each stop added more runners. People were chatting about the race and helping each other calm their nerves. It was a nice moment of community.

Been here 25 yrs and the worst thing that ever happened to me on the train was a guy groping me. I yelled at him and everyone else did to. That's it. But just an hour ago a sedan crashed into a police car on the street outside my apt. Driver was taken away in an ambulance. I'll stick with the train

Same! And I’m now training for the NYC Marathon which is something my younger self would be completely shocked to hear.

First truly sunny warm day in NYC all week and I will be inside watching Motorsport all day long (Monaco and Indy) 🤷‍♀️

your energy actually is finite and spending time fighting about the former president while the current president is putting this country in a wood chipper seems like a bad use of it
