As soon as the fetus (being the scientific name for fertilization to birth) is born and there is an actual human infant involved - they couldn’t care less what happens next. To the baby. The mother. The family. The community. (cont.)

I’ll say though, my Doc is a QUEEN and refused to back down. Was like a dog with a bone on my behalf, going so far as to call manufacturers herself abt the “shortage”.

My usual pharmacy was amazing, too, and called to give me updates every other day for weeks.

Still? We were unsuccessful.

Me and my doc had to send “official” emails ahead of time to tell pharmacies we’d be calling to ask abt Vyvanse stock bc every time I tried they’d be like “you’re clearly seeking out meth” and even Doc was given attitude 😤🤦‍♀️

After hellish months of trying meds (I call that the “cocktail phase”), Vyvanse was next up to try; it was World Changing™ - I had exactly ONE MONTH of relief before the “shortage” and then it was back to the drawing board and the weird, emotional devastation of knowing what is POSSIBLE 😫

Other people may have other experiences but I followed the instructions here and it took about three minutes, two of which were clicking 'other' on cancellation reason and typing my reason, and that I would return after a Kimmel reinstatement and apology. Super easy.

It's very hard for me to tell right now how "real" the boycott of Disney+ is in terms of impact. I've seen people claiming Disney's site was down at the same time I could pretty easily access it. But I'm hopeful that it might pick up enough steam and a strong enough narrative to matter.

And after all those reasons we did the math. All LVP vs the builder-grade carpet/laminate combo the house has now? $10k reno cost likely to add $23k (so $13k “profit” yuck) to the house value.

Not the 10% extra you should always buy but 10% on top of it. My father and I are well-versed in replacing damaged LVP (and carpet and laminate and baseboards…), so if needed we will have the same finish, width, cut, stain, etc to use to replace.

We lucked out in a couple of ways: me, my husband, my FIL, and my Dad all work adjacent to the home builders industry (yep, so many evils, but also so many bills to pay) and my father has been a (residential) construction worker for decades. We all know a thing or two. We bought extra product.

We’re in the middle of redoing the floors in our whole house. We have three very active (read: destructive) cats and live in a flood zone on a swamp (1/3 of our .5 acre property is “protected wetland” aka swamp and we live in a major Hurricane Corridor). We went with LVP bc all the reasons.
