Last week, I had the pleasure of sharing space with so many lovely humans at Reykjavik Pride. It was affirming to be in a place where basically the entire city turned up to celebrate queer joy. Let’s keep creating more spaces like this where LGBTQ+ people can flourish with love instead of hostility.

All solidarity with Sacha. It's a side note but I am so struck by the way that 'orchestration' has become an accusation. When did it become a crime to talk to your colleagues and friends, share your views, express opinions on what's right and useful to do, and work together on a shared goal?

A reminder: if a trans person existing in a space with you causes you discomfort or anxiety, you should not harass or exclude them. You should speak to a decent therapist instead. Just saying.

You can write books that are not for public consumption, that chronicle your specific family or village history.

The overwhelming majority of offenders are British-born. Overwhelmingly the victim is someone known to them, either a partner or relative.

Anybody purporting to care about protecting women might start there.

I don’t think it has anything to do with Trump. This is who Starmer is and always has been. A right wing authoritarian. What I really don’t get is why people like Miliband, Phillips et al who are left of centre are going along with it.

Look I know this is hard to reckon with but we don’t have time any longer to wait for you to catch up.

This Labour government is in fact worse than the last 15 years of Tory led governments. For us all.

I'm going to be a bit of a knob and repost this with a comment I made on another thread, because this really is quite extraordinary.

He didn't 'lead a rebellion' - he tabled an amendment that was to the benefit of his constituency, and that amendment went through the due process.

That's his job.
