I was gonna say, "you can take the man out of Mass..." But it doesn't work if you're in Mass πŸ˜†

Create a second discord acct. Download a discord test build, either PTB, or canary. Decide which servers to associate with the new acct. Easiest answer is public servers that don't require an invite. Join those servers from new acct in your test build of discord, remove them from your main acct.

It has never been more clear that community and solidarity are what keep people safe, and ICE as an institution is an obstacle to public safety.

In solidarity with today's ICE OUT OF MINNESOTA blackout, MinnMax is donating $1 to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota for every share of this Bluesky post for the next hour.

I feel like at some point you're being willfully obtuse about this being an unfair tax for folks who can't consume artificial sweetener. "You don't *need* the thing you used to be able to drink and everyone else has access to, so it's fine that *you* have to pay more" is... Shitty.

That is condescending and sidesteps the issue that allergy & migraine sufferers don't have safe soft drink choices in the UK anymore. The UK has made a situation that reduces consumer choice, excludes a significant portion of consumers based on health conditions, and done so in the name of "health."

Putting artificial sweetener in soft drinks but marketing them as "classic" is an allergy concern, and also a concern for those who have non-allergic intolerances, like sweetener-induced migraines.

Yes, that's what I'm taking issue with. "Here" is the US for me, I was responding to the person who said drinks with any artificial sweetener are always clearly labeled. You've just confirmed my suspicion, which is that's not accurate.

We also use the term Zero and Zero Sugar here, very regularly. Usually the difference between that and Diet here is *which* artificial sweetener was used. While I can't speak for Hank, their usage in the US is common enough that I would be surprised if that had thrown him.

Or perhaps it was a fountain drink and not made clear anywhere.

My understanding from Hank's post is that those words were not on the UK packaging? That's why he got ambushed by it?

The issue w/ just replacing the sugar with artificial sweetener and not indicating it on the package is that while large amounts of sugar aren't healthy, many people have various reactions to artificial sweeteners that they don't have to sugar. It's not exactly an allergy concern, but it's adjacent.

Idc if the toilet handrails help because you are permanently disabled or if you just restarted yoga and your hamstrings are mad today, if you need them to sit you need them to sit. (Unrelatedly, very glad I didn't take down the previous owner's handrails when I bought my house.)
