I’m thrilled to see the back of him, both on and off the field. The best period of Arsenal football under Arteta was with Jorginho, not Partey at 6. Zubimendi is a huge, huge glow up for this team

Every match report for the last two years has been either “Thomas Partey MOTM. Made everything happen.” Or “Partey terrible in transition, defense doesn’t seem as secure with him.”

Every week it seemed like fans seeing two different players. Has there been another Arsenal player like this?

Can you think of an Arsenal player as polarizing as Partey? Even leaving aside the off-field stuff (embarrassing for the club tbh) fan reaction to his play ranged from “get him out!” to “greatest thing since sliced bread!”
