Massive car interchange from the air

Never forget, car dependency is the opposite of freedom.

What’s more “free” than cars, you ask?

Choices.

I think "clickbait" is a shorter way to put it. After all, we are at a point where the bulk of new data comes from new user input. It takes anything, but _desperately_ needs you to not disengage.

The thing is, as bad as this sounds, i don't believe that it was always that different, but gatekeepers simply cut off the folkways at a certain threshold. Online media now reveal the full spectrum of communicative purposes—play, identity, partisanship, performance, outrage, and sometimes: truth.

“If you can’t get a vote on your record, don’t play us against each other.”

I’m grateful for the Rev. Sharpton’s powerful words of unity this morning and against the cynical politics of fear and division.

@256bit.bsky.social we're definitely in different stages. In Bulgaria protests were taking governments down regularly in the 1990s and 2000s (here's a list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Protests_in_Bulgaria). Then politicians learned to not resist protests, but find other ways to stay […]

The White House Is Already the 2nd-Most Blocked Account on BlueSky — After JD Vance President Trump's White House is already the second most-blocked account on Bluesky, just days after joining the platform. The only account ahead of it? It belongs to Vice President JD Vance.

I think these two are the first accounts I ever blocked. I am lucky to not have been forced to do it in the past. The exception I make now is an expression of solidarity with all the people that witness their country being hijacked.

So, apparently Peter Thiel, who is obsessed with the antichrist, had never pondered how to respond if someone notices that he's behaving like one, or at least enabling one. Not exactly my idea of resilient thinker.

Job Interviews Are Broken People are sneaking answers from AI, and who can blame them?

Today, students might use AI to write college-entrance essays so that they can get into college, where they use AI to complete assignments on their way to degrees, so they can use AI to cash out those degrees in jobs, so they can use AI to carry out the duties of those jobs.

In your article I loved both the reference to Joe and the Volcano, and your interpretation of BS job. Then also tone, story development,... Useless list, that just comes to say I identified so much with it, and not engaged with TikTok also learned a lot

I got considered only for positions where I contacted an insider. Got the job where they moved faster

Did you notice how Bogost interprets #BSjobs in the article? To me it makes so much more sense than Graeber's sense that you seem to be echoing. It's about employee detachment from the job, and not so much about the job necessarily being meaningless itself.
