Trump v. United States wasn’t a serious request either, but here we are.

That’s like the highest praise you could give Rumbling Hearts. It is utterly unashamed of its melodrama.

Or watch Rumbling Hearts. Three out of four characters never even make it to college because their lives fall apart after the timeskip.

Little regional airports are great. Like, if I lived in the northern Detroit suburbs, I’d prefer flying out of Flint than going down to DTW. And my own hometown airport, GRR, is a breeze to get in and out of.

And this is Grand Rapids, MI. Now I love Miku and all, but what the hell does she have to do with Grand Rapids?

The anti-porn crusade comes for online games Activists pressure payment processors, who in turn pressure game marketplaces. Now many video games and visual novels are disappearing.

"The games purge also serves as yet another example of the way payment processors have become weaponized by both governments and activists, since they can serve as a means of suppressing speech without having to resort to more unconstitutional or objectionable methods."

If they included PWHL, I’d be riding high with the Victoire. But then again, if they included college, Stanford’s inability to thrive in the NIL / Corruption Era of college football would really hurt me.

I recall that way, way back in the day, Apple’s port of QuickTime to Windows included so many Mac OS APIs just to make it all work, some developers were using it as a general-purpose means of porting Mac applications to Windows.

Relying on AI in Colonoscopies May Erode Clinicians' Skills Concerns of 'deskilling' raised for clinicians who use AI in colonoscopies, then go without it

i'm so sick of hearing boosters write things like "AI detects cancer better than doctors" based on really thin studies and wishful thinking. well, here's a study that shows that AI not only did a worse job than human docs, but actually degraded their abilities www.medpagetoday.com/gastroentero...

It's kind of amazing how, at the last tech conference I went to, far too many dudes were boasting about how "easy" their jobs were thanks to "the AI doing all the work"

They really didn't like me asking why a company would keep paying them six figures if "the AI" was doing their jobs for them.

Will never cease to amaze me that the Objectivists were the first to cave, when they should have been our first line of defense.

I was a 90s-era libertarian and in retrospect, people like me really let down our LGBTQ friends by not voicing full-throated support for full marriage equality. So now, anyone who cares about individual liberty and personal autonomy needs to be standing up for trans people today.

We’ve only had it since New Year’s, so we’re still in the honeymoon phase, but I love it. It’s probably my favorite of all the cars I’ve ever owned.

Don’t quite know how to answer about turning radius, except that it feels more sedan than SUV. Or just get the Premium with the cool parking cams.

First time charging the #MachE at a Tesla Supercharger, one of the 325 kW models. OMFG, was this fast. It was going up like 1% every 30 seconds.

Prose dialogue: β€œHere’s the thing, Tech Support… at heart, we’re all narcissists. Given a choice, the first thing we’ll usually reach for is the option that makes us feel better about ourselves. That’s the value of philosophy. You train the mind to prefer the options that are going to be the most productive, the most pro-social. You make it so that doing the right thing is your first choice, the one you would always want to make.

Problem is, propaganda does the same thing, but in the other direction. People aren’t inherently bad. We’re not savage beasts, built to rape and kill. That’s the popular assumption, but it’s just not true. People want to make a good choice, and feel like they’re doing the right thing. Propaganda teaches them that wrong is right, that they should reach for the evil option first, and they should feel good about it. That’s what we’re up against.”

Someday, I’ll get back to it. Someday, I’ll have time again. For now, the best I can do is throw good bits into my notes when they come up, so they’ll be there when I’m ready for them again. #AmNotWriting

It's profoundly saddening to read that AP will no longer be assigning or running book reviews because readers don't engage with them enough and they take too much effort to plan and assign. People complain about critics as gatekeepers; wait until all that's left is marketing.
