One thing that was reported about both W Bush and Reagan was that they were incurious--they had no interest in experiences outside their own. I think that makes evil easier for a person who can otherwise be nice. They might have little sense they are committing evil acts, because they can't see it.

When I was looking to buy, back in 2021, the agents kept forgetting we weren't landlords. They'd show you the tiniest bedroom, and remark "of course, you could get a double bed in here" (you could not). The whole pitch was around rent.

No one is currently running on "free health care for children", but I find it hard to believe that if you told voters that was an option, they wouldn't support it.

It's the second time I've seen his wife brought up in an attempt to start a scandal, and I don't understand why anyone thinks "Look at this incredibly attractive couple and their happy marriage" is going to deter voters.

Especially in advocacy work. Implication and tone are everything. It's interesting, I have run some of my writing through Co-pilot, as a test, and it almost always reduces criticism of government, takes a more positive tone, and removes supporting facts.

In my office, Co-pilot has been promoted as a way to write more accessibly and ensure we're using "Plain English" (we do a lot of public facing advocacy work). And it's awful. And it wasn't even from Microsoft, one of the literacy charities that offers plain English training is pushing it.

Right, Microchimerism. It's super interesting and is the result of pregnancy, not sex. Then it leaked out into the manosphere as "women have DNA from all sexual partners". Which may be true for a sunset of women (who have been pregnant by every partner), but certainly not everyone.

There's no point, voters "know" that Republicans are tough on immigration, and moving right isn't going to change that narrative. May as well be pro-immigration and go for those voters, and also be objectively right.
