Beyond simple bigotry, the treatment of Black people and non-white immigrants in the United States makes complete sense when you factor in the existence of a class of rich jerks who worry that those folks wouldn't vote for them, so their solution is to make sure those folks never get to vote at all.

I hope everyone involved creatively with the Wheel of Time show knows that they are so very loved. Not for nothing but they have made the definitive versions of these characters - versions that I will remember and adore for the rest of my life. I'm so sorry you couldn't finish telling your story.
