Speculation is that ICE could be trying to move people out to clean the holding cells and to set up cots to comply with the latest judicial order to address inhumane conditions inside the facility. The judge is currently scheduled to inspect the facility Thursday morning.

District Judge Robert Gettleman issued a court order last week compelling the feds to maintain adequate conditions for Broadview ICE facility detainees, in response to a class action alleging inhumane conditions inside.

A court visit to the Broadview facility is set for this Thursday at 10 am.

It occurred to me just a bit ago that this review is probably related to the sudden desire to move on from Chicago this week.

It was 20 degrees out, and he had a dinner plate, bare hands, and, I'm guessing, little will to live. GF just sat in the car. I love this place.
