I think the idea of ETRO is you put in a change,folk comment based on experience in first 6 months So if it was decided to change to option 1 after 6 months, how would that work ?

Looks like it Apparently we can make comments now, but they just go on a big pile with those put in during the 6 months of consultation. Mind, I then get really confused about how “falling back to option 1” works in an ETRO.

And yes, can have options, but with conditions ( I think) but the published diagrams don’t set those out ?

Re first point The councils webpage says it is open for comments So why does this contradict your explanation?

hi... I'm trying to get answers to 2 questions (1) can an ETRO contain options (ie the modal filters OR protected lanes) ? a quick check via chatgpt suggests not, but I've only seen the diagrams and (2) the website does solicit feedback from the general public (as per pic)

Re roseburn tram design. The proposal sounds good, but I remain concerned that we get a ‘balgreen’ type solution Ie segregated, etc, looks nice on paper, but you have to stop regularly to cross roads ( for roseburn that’d be tram tracks) Is there a detailed design anywhere ?

I think this is the legislation www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1999/61.... A quick search suggests no references to cost/budget/timescales; therefore (being simplistic) that's all outwith statutory scope & therefore outwith ToR for sub-committee.

My reading of the ToR for Sub-committee suggests that funding/pacing of replacement is out-of-scope for the sub-committee (its outwith the statutory element of TROs). Anybody know if that's right ? and if-so, why did the chair not step in ?

Aug mtg had same report input. My understanding is that only the trip hazard objection was contentious, and officals verbally said that permanent infra would slowly replace over time. Cllr Lang's issue is whether there's budget (etc) to do that replacement. And seemingly no progress made in Aug

I'm trying to get my head round how TROs & sub-comm works, using this example. Its quasi-judical, and is there to respond to consultations & approve. For this one there were 34 objections, of which 7 were trip hazards. Officials were inclined to ignore; but discussion carried from May mtg to Aug
