The Salvation Army does a lot of wonderful humanitarian work to help people with whose lifestyle and identity they agree. Much like the Klan.

When I was homeless in 2019, the Salvation Army shelter refused to give me a bed (even though they were available), because I was on immunosuppressant meds and they didn’t want to be responsible or liable if I got more sick or died on premises. They’d rather I die on the street.
