I mean, if all they are killing is robots and aliens, kinda makes sense. Remember John Carter? They got away with a lot just because blood was blue.

That's possibly because OpenOffice is pretty much abandonware. I'd recommend switching to LibreOffice, which started as a fork and is now actively maintained.

A β˜…β˜…Β½ review of Play Dirty (2025) Hits all the Shane Black tropes (set around Christmas, it can be quite funny and it has exciting action set pieces) but Wahlberg, while far from unwatchable, is not Black's most compelling lead either...

It's not horrible, but I expected more from Shane Black.

No other show gut punched my hopelessly romantic ass as bad (or at least as memorably) as when Westworld S1 revealed the Man in Black's twist. I was bummed it was cancelled and infuriated when Zaslav removed from everywhere before I watched S4.

I'm a foreigner, but considering how many Latinos live in the US, one would think Spanish would be way more widespread and accepted than what it is.

I mean... when given the right material, Marky Mark can do solid work (The Departed, anyone?). And with this being Shane Black? Benefit of the doubt at the very least.

Yeah, I mentioned that in my review. The movie feels like it doesn't really know if it wants to be a brand new thing or a nostalgia fest and doesn't commit to either one.

Sorry for beating a dead horse (and again, no disrespect intended to the composers), but I just can't get over the fact that the Superman movie made such a fuzz about the John Williams theme but it didn't play in its full bombastic glory. Not even in the end credits!

Also, golden hour is cool and all, but they clearly never sat down and actually use a computer next to a clear window with the sun on your face.

After dismissing Abe Lincoln: VH for so long for its "ridiculous" premise, I was surprised to how enjoyable and fun it was when I stumbled on it on TV.

A β˜…β˜… review of Superman (2025) Let me preface this by saying I adore James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy movies (especially Vol 2, which is the most divisive, for some reason), but watching this I had a hard time believing this mo...

Meh.
This movie is A LOT. And surprisingly, I had a lot to say. I think I saw the missed potential and that made me sadder than if it were a merely bad movie.

Oh, definitely. I read it in my tablet as well and I definitely wished I could have a big format edition.

I can see why it could be not for everyone. I just think the story itself was really well told and the art was incredible. Yeah, I don't think the movie will go for the almost pulp fantasy aesthetic or tone, especially knowing Lobo is going to be part of the movie.

Don't know if overrated (I thought it was really good anyway), but maybe it kinda means that most Supergirl stories are... not very good?
In any case, after reading the book I'm more worried about the movie because I feel like her cameo in Superman is sort of missing the point of her story.

In the (likely, IMO) event the Arc graphics division is kaputt, hope AMD hires Tom Petersen (and/or the entire ARC IP) right away.

I have to say, not a good idea to show him in broad daylight. It's the most "guy in a suit" the xeno's ever looked.
But yeah, kinda weird it's essentially a B-plot. Wonder if at least they're saving something big for the next episode?

Hot take: DLSS/Frame Gen are the worst things to happen to PC gaming in recent times. Yes, there were unoptimized games before, but publishers had to reckon with that and do the work to fix it. Now, they just slap upscaling and call it a day and it would be your fault for not using it.

My only gripe with the film is that they didn't need to shoehorn a big CG villain that is introduced halfway through the second act for him to sort of team-up with the JSA. Other than that, I agree with everything you said.

I'm all in for it (in fact, that was my idea for Bond: go full Cold War era, lo-fi thriller)... but I'd wait a few years before it, if only to avoid as many comparisons as humanly possible.

"Containing Soviet expansion". Poor people, we are so helpless that we need the US to tell us what's better for us! Please, don't act as if the US has EVER done anything out of the kindness of their hearts.

12.09.2025 13:14 β€” πŸ‘ 3    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Here's the problem: you thinking that "containing Soviet expansion" somehow justifies intervening in sovereign nations affairs. Who do you think you are? Who gave you the right? In particular when said interventions led to particularly awful conditions in our countries that are still felt today?
