Erm recent ISH.

Palm Springs (2020) & Get Away (2024) we're pretty good. The latter in a very dark way. Nonnas (2025) was a very light feel good effort that sprinkled with bits of comedy.

I love Ghibli's output but I've not seen many of their more recent films. Miyazaki is a genius.

I go through stages. I watched a lot of world cinema at one point, which can a bit kooky. I like creativity in films and I'm drawn to cinema that is technically impressive rather than purely plot driven stuff.

But then I like cinematic fluff like Marvel and Star Wars. Appreciate a good comedy too!
