I find this has been a slow progression since the early 1900 then accelerated post WWII. The teaching of more STEMish knowledge at the sacrifice of humanities.

The pendulum of society always seems to move to these debates.

To me, it's important that we keep talking and slow the discussion down. (Not always easy) Rely on the wisdom of the great thinkers of old to help frame our ideas and where to set the boundaries. Not necessarily a satisfying answer to some to a struggle we have confronted for millennium.

The paradox. How do we balance the boundaries that allow for divergent ideas n actions without overly limiting said ideas n actions in a repressive way? As individuals or society? When do ideas n actions become harmful?... How do we define that line without becoming intolerant n harmful ourselves?

Has it occurred to anyone that maybe we just change when we start n end our days? Adjust our life/work schedules? Adjust to how the earth revolves, not try n make it revolve around us. 🤔
