Furious 7 is the ending for me, before they fully transitioned into becoming special-ops cops. The franchise, for a long time, felt like it was having so much fun with mashing together all its various elements, but the last few have been so serious and dour.

But also, damn. To write this song, record it, get it all the way across the finish line - that's a long time to hold onto that anger and never come to the decision to cool it down.

Yeah, it definitely felt like a lot of the media wanted a "new Britney Spears" of a sort. There was also a time of strange fury from the media that Swift went from country to pop to rock to synth, like it's somehow illegal for an artist to explore different genres while they're evolving.

I feel like they've decided to exit the console manufacturer space and are just trying to squeeze as much money as possible from who is left. Nothing else makes sense. The decade of incompetence, GamePass teaching people not to buy games, the Acti-Blizz purchase; they can't take all of it.

Not played enough to know how impactful it is, but it's cool to be able to focus your racer on how you prefer to play.

There's also a loadout system, which is unusual for a kart racer. You can make it so that it takes less time for your drift meter to charge up, make it so that your recovery time after getting hit by an item is faster, set your max rings to 200.

The soundtrack is also stellar, even for a Sonic game. The music also changes on the final lap to something that just blows your socks off. Sometimes it's a vocal track, other times it's something akin to the gym leader piece from Pokemon Sword & Shield where it just pumps you up as far as possible.

Nice track variety as well, with 24 main tracks, then 15 "crossworld" tracks that can show up as Lap 2 in any race.

Between this, Mario Kart World and the upcoming Kirby Air Riders, we're eating real good as kart racer fans.

Sonic Racing: Crossworlds is pretty good. As someone who loved All-Stars Racing Transformed back in the day, they finally made a sequel to it! Sense of speed is there, having the track change every lap keeps you on your toes, they put in the hoverboards from Sonic Riders.
