Ghosting has got to be the most toxic ways to end a friendship.

I occasionally have to remind people that it’s my boundary and a reasonable request for either myself or my partner to be informed that a friendship has ended rather than the ableism of expecting me to get the hint by not responding.

I worry a lot that self advocacy also has the dark side of the pick-me’s while in the meantime we have got fully fledged organisations running in the name of disabilities by non-disabled people that don’t make a difference to our quality of life and are hoovering up millions in grants and funding.

The problem I have with self advocacy - Normal Ness Being forced to advocate for yourself is a form of outsourcing. And it’s unpaid, exhausting, and often emotional exertion.    Systemic issues could be fixed by those in power, but it’s quicker & easie...

More nope on #ProfoundAutism: An Autistic person’s ALS was only diagnosed a couple of months before they died, as their symptoms of progressive muscle weakness & associated disability were assumed to be 'challenging behavior' due to being 'severely Autistic.'

I think mid-$20 is the target for the base version and high 20’s for the premium with longer range, as they want to be the grim reaper for the all these other brands asking $30k for a city car.

My wife used to make them. Very temperamental and used to fizz out during the drying process if there was too much moisture in the mix. Deconstructed bath bombs are basically the mix without having been wet and set.

I think this would be a very decent starting point that I found on tomshardware. 32GB RAM will give headroom with Windows 11, but it is the GeForce RTX 5060 which will do most of the heavy lifting with any graphics-intensive programs where the rendering and exporting happens on the PC itself.

Lots of comments over on FB about people needing a large battery (40kwh+) to make the most of it and that makes a lot of sense to me, but it is a bit to pay upfront.

Definitely not worth it if you only have solar, as the feed in goes to zero and the real market hits negative during the day.

My ‘school mode’ still haunts me these days.

I haven’t done much gardening this year, but in the last week I have burned a section the lawn that was all weeds using a heat gun and then stripped it back to soil so it is ready for aerating and planting new turf.

There is also a dark cases that kids who want access to these services will do so through abusive and coercive strategies and parents may be too ashamed to report or just want to protect their own child for making deepfakes even if they catch them and can’t stop them.

Not many solutions to this situation where parents are not actively managing or monitoring the access to the facilities where a child can create and share the material.

Tools required to monitor children’s actual usage of these devices to detect and block this usage are a privacy nightmare for all.
