I always write a brief outline. And then I deviate from it in a few chapters. But it's comforting while it lasts :)

Neil Young says: “Untruths are abounding on Fox. New York Times used to be where I went for news. Now I go to The Guardian."
Same for me. The Guardian is far from perfect, but it's *way* better than the NYT or any other US news outlet.

Leiber was great! My favorite writer when I was a kid. Somewhat dated now, of course, but still brilliant. Of course, Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser are fun, if retrogressive, but Our Lady of Darkness is a superb, pioneering work too.

My novella Pâtissier et Étranger is now up on NetGalley. Currently scheduled for publication on February 10. I'd be delighted by any ratings or reviews.
This is a mashup of baking drama, spy thriller, and science fiction set in Paris in 1967.

Absolutely. Of course, under even a biased and distorted reading of the emoluments clause, Trump should have been impeached at least a dozen times by now....

Wow. Last year, all these fancy intellectual European accounts started following me. Of course, I followed them back. Now I know why I don't see any of their posts.

Thinking about how bsky has the most horrible setting turned on by default that says "i don't want to see any other languages except English" and if no one tells you to put it on "no selection" you straight up won't see posts from people set to different languages on your TL.

Plainly yes, because guidelines don't say "never use AI for other things". That said, if I were an editor it sure would bias my attitude toward the work, but hopefully not prejudice it.
(from the legal principle that everyone is biased, but you should reject prejudice)
