I'm hardly the first person to note this, but it's enormously instructive that our President and his followers saw the message "THE ONLY THING MORE POWERFUL THAN HATE IS LOVE" and understood it, correctly, as an attack on them

Every time someone has insisted they'd give Democrats in Congress credit for trying something even if it fails, it has turned out to be a lie, and that person has subsequently lambasted "feckless" Democrats for not being able to snap their fingers and magically achieve anything they want.

Meanwhile, Republicans have been forced to try to ram things through in the one un-filibusterable budget reconciliation bill they get each year. So the filibuster wouldn't even stop that.

You really should try to understand the things you're complaining about.

Voting rights were codified. Republican-appointed judges just decided to gut the Voting Rights Act anyway. Just like they’re now planning to gut the codification of same-sec and interracial marriages passed by Dems a few years ago.
