The man with the plan and the pocket comb. Joe Biden was a good President who did good things, and Kamala Harris would’ve been even better. Here: politics, baseball, Tolkien memes. Sometimes in that order. @b-list.org for the tech side of me. he/him
So where’s the goalpost moving to now?

A group of men who regularly rape children decided to ruin the public's perception of trans people in this country for shits and giggles and every time I think about that my heart clenches into a blood-red fist of rage.
And I can't stop thinking about it.

You apparently know how they could do this. Why do you withhold the secret knowledge? Do you want the Republican agenda to pass?
Zero Democrats voted for the Republican “big beautiful” budget bill. Yet you just describe them as “capitulating”. And as a reconciliation bill it was not filibuster-able.
Funny how that works!
“How long has it been since a democrat actually did a filibuster rather than capitulating before the vote?”
Exact quote of you a few posts up.
Incidentally, Dems have generally been voting as a bloc against the Republican agenda. But that doesn’t suit the narrative you want to push.
Good morning. The President of the United States was in the middle of the most serious child sex trafficking ring of the last quarter century.
He is referenced not a dozen times in the case files. Not 100 times. Not 1,000 times. He’s referenced 38,000 times.

Jesus fucking Christ, this might be one of the most horrifying things I've heard in a fucking sea of horrifying things.

Multiple reports have identified roughly 30 current and former ICE and CBP personnel who have been charged or convicted of violent and/or sexual crimes including sex crimes against children.
So, which non-filibusterable thing do you want them to filibuster? Be specific.

09.02.2026 02:11 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Meanwhile, Republicans have been forced to try to ram things through in the one un-filibusterable budget reconciliation bill they get each year. So the filibuster wouldn't even stop that.
You really should try to understand the things you're complaining about.
Cory Booker held the Senate floor for over twenty-five hours straight last year, but I guess you don't care.
Also, the filibuster for many types of nominees was abolished years ago by Democrats on the advice of people demanding they "do something" to fight Republicans, just FYI.

Stop living in magic fantasy land where the Green Lantern ring lets Dems do anything if they just will it hard enough.
Yes, I read your comment. The Republicans will simply interrupt and vote to change whatever rule is being exploited. There is no magic “one brave Dem stops the entire GOP agenda” trick. Please stop pretending there is.
09.02.2026 00:59 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 3 📌 0You really do seem to think there’s One Weird Trick that Dems can do to just stop Republicans from the minority and love to use that to blame Dems for the evil Republicans do.
With “friends” like you, who even needs enemies?
Voting rights were codified. Republican-appointed judges just decided to gut the Voting Rights Act anyway. Just like they’re now planning to gut the codification of same-sec and interracial marriages passed by Dems a few years ago.
Almost like “codifying” isn’t magic.
But it turns out that having a majority means that even with obstructionist opposition tactics they can still, you know, out-vote the Dems and pass their awful agenda.
If only someone would complain about them doing that…
Democrats used obstructionist tactics. Republicans literally planted whiny Wall Street Journal pieces and worked on changing chamber rules to get around Dem obstruction!
