Well, my year started about a year ago.
Happy New Yearโs Eve!

Fair warning though, it is _violent_

06.09.2025 01:31 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Todayโs case: minimising a failure case for rustdoc so I can submit a nicer bug report. Itโs already cut through 90+% of this crate already.
Especially with inline-crate (github.com/jaybosamiya/...), I donโt even need to cut down to a single file by myself, I can just let it handle it all
I am once again extolling the virtues of creduce. It has saved me so much debugging time in so many scenarios. Doesnโt even matter if what Iโm reducing is not C, it just munches through it and simplifies inputs like crazy

Good video, well paced and explained in a very understandable way
Thereโs also the pragmatic solution of โmake the spatter a child of the goblin / sibling of the goblin spriteโ but yeah the Math behind the transformations was explained beautifully

26.07.2025 04:15 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Optimal under the constraints of being only 3 rational numbers under 1.
I conjecture that the real optimal one is at four gears exactly, but I have no proof of optimality.
2/26 * 7/21 * 12/16 * 13/15 = 1/60
Ah @mlhomsi.bsky.social found this same optimal one under these constraints!
26.07.2025 04:09 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Also one downside to the original 3 rational number solutions is that not all are less than 1. If you want that constraint too, optimal is:
5/30 * 7/28 * 10/25 = 1/60
By using more rational numbers (and allowing repeats) you can push it even lower:
2/10 * 3/9 * 4/8 * 4/8 = 1/60
Given the additional context I suspect you are not looking for repeats though?
