Deepening understanding and respect for disabilities is essential for building an equitable society.

By viewing the fact that many people have disabilities as an unfortunate fate to be avoided, discrimination and improper treatment are justified. As a result, the dignity and rights of people with disabilities are often overlooked, leading to unfair treatment within society and families.

近年の研究では，免疫システムの働きが乱れることが，発達障害の発症や症状の重さに影響を与える可能性が示唆されている．一方，アレルギー疾患は免疫系の過剰反応によって引き起こされる疾患です．好酸球はアレルギー反応に関与する白血球の一種ですが，神経発達障害の集団では，アレルギー疾患と直接関係しない形での好酸球の活性化が観察されている．好酸球が活性化している状態は，アレルギーのような免疫過剰反応とは異なるメカニズムで起きている可能性があり，その詳細な仕組みはまだ解明されていない．

国立障害者リハビリテーションセンターが「発達障害当事者が求めている情報についてのアンケート」という大規模調査を実施しています．
