I imagine a baseball field would be a good place to use as a setting to a murder in a storybook. There would be an awful lot of DNA at the scene from all the spitting, so it could confound an investigation. In a fictional story type situation

I don’t watch any sports game when I feel particularly invested in an outcome because if the outcome is bad than surely that’s my fault for watching and experiencing enjoyment

My Pop W used to build all these dummies like he’d stuff a pair of pants and put them legs up in a stack of tires. Lots of people made stuff like that back then.

On Halloween my Nan P used to come down to Whiteway to answer the door in a costume. She was the witch of Rumplestitch who was a character in a radio play she used to listen to in the 30s. She scared those youngsters so badly they would run away

Yes I can recognize several of the plants there! How lovely. I tried to plant flowers on my nans grave but the squirrels took the bulbs. A lot of cemeteries here are discouraging decorations or fences now which I can understand but it makes it pretty solemn.
