It's aimed at my foundation tier class. However, could also be used with Higher Tier students - just misses higher tier content.

I think maths would benefit from incredibly regular faculty meetings where we just talk about how to teach best together.

#mathstoday starting a new piece of work with Y8 on substituting/rearranging formulae so used one of the brilliant NCETM checkpoints to check for prior understanding. A great resource which I'm trying to add into more lessons!

I have an arrangement with Y13 that the last person to arrive has to write the trig identities on the board. In #MathsToday it was me!

You can calculate definite integrals. If you define your function to be integrated as y1 you can also shade the area above (or below!) the x-axis using inequalities.

Made this when I completed the TAM course a couple of years ago and teaching logs to Year 12 again this week; looking forward to see the answers and trying to get the group talking to each other a bit more!

How I learn 26 names within 5 minutes I have been using this method since I was an NQT.  I am not sure how it came about, just developed over my first few weeks I think.  Mainly due to the fact that I used to hate it when teachers did not...
