Tonight in Berkeley:
16.01.2026 23:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think itβs largely due to the irrational exuberance of the investor class. People still falsely equate the Dow with the economy.
19.12.2025 15:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hard disagree!

We disagree
18.11.2025 15:18 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I don't think it's as simple as the media merely wanting to help Trump. It was more a function of the media's quixotic attempt to stay "fair and balanced" in its endless election coverage. High egg prices and being old were pretty much all they had on Biden, just like Hillary's emails.
18.11.2025 14:35 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Letβs never forget that 4500 US troops and about 200,000 Iraqi civilians died because Dick Cheney and his crew successfully deployed lies to grease the way to the Iraq invasion. He exploited post-9/11 fear and conned the public to launch a disastrous war. Thatβs his legacy.
04.11.2025 14:51 β π 474 π 115 π¬ 33 π 8All these questions about Trump illegally trying to stay in power past the constitutionally mandated term limits are doing his bidding (consciously or not) by normalizing the issue. Itβs against the law. Period. (Also, he ainβt beating Obama).
27.10.2025 16:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I see a lot of people wringing their hands over shameless clown + white nationalist Steve Bannon insisting that Trump will serve a third term. And I get it. Folks are so traumatized and rattled regarding the past 10 years that they're letting him get under their skin.
Don't. Here's why.
(thread)
To summarize:
1. Encouraging an exodus
2. Cutting federal funding
3. Injecting God into the classroom
4. Promoting curriculum choices (like erasing slavery, genocide and racism from history classes)
5. Weakening civil rights protections
Oh yes, I vaguely remember that. I mean, while it wasnβt a stance I agreed with either at the time, at least heβs a politically engaged progressive - more than we can say for most super rich, famous people, right?
08.10.2025 14:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I appreciate the kind words but I have to plead ignorance here. I donβt know much about George Clooney. What did he do that has you so mad at him?
08.10.2025 14:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I have no idea if heβs a good guy or an entitled asshole but I think what he was trying to say about his kids came out awkwardly and wasnβt as bad as it sounded.
08.10.2025 14:02 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I think that Clooney probably regrets phrasing it that way - what he meant was his kids might have a better shot at not becoming entitled assholes by growing up somewhere that doesnβt go apeshit over his fame.
07.10.2025 19:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The Trump administration has cancelled 4,304 deliveries to food banks so far this year, refusing to deliver 94 million pounds of contracted-for food. Food banks simply canβt feed people enough anymore. Millions of Americans are going hungry as a result.

19.09.2025 14:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Agree, but alas, I think that could apply to every cabinet member and the monster at the top of the heap of deplorables.

11.09.2025 15:45 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0If we have to have a corrupt criminal as our dictator-president, at least itβs one who canβt keep his fucking mouth shut about how much he loves being corrupt and doing crimes
10.09.2025 17:25 β π 125 π 30 π¬ 2 π 0NEW: Trump has targeted political foes β including Federal Reserve governor Lisa Cook β for claiming more than one primary residence on their loan papers.
But ProPublica found that at least three of the presidentβs Cabinet members have done the same thing.
Why does Trump want to control the Federal Reserve? He operates on such a different plane of policymaking that itβs often hard to understand what heβs doing and why. Let me try to put it together for you. https://robertreich.substack.com/p/trumps-art-of-extortion

28.08.2025 14:52 β π 123 π 34 π¬ 6 π 0Is there any way for a single media outlet to at least mention in the same breath that Trump was convicted of the actual crime of inflating the value of his property rather than this absurd brand of implied impropriety that Cook is accused of - or would that be considered βeditorializing?β
