Pretty much. There are exceptions that need surgery, displaced rib fractures with sharp ends that are poking into your lung, liver, spleen, etc. But usually it’s just pain meds and time, no red lights required.

Hosps don’t need same PACS, as images in usual DICOM format can be stored/viewed on any PACS. Just need secure import/export link between the PACS. There are various options for this, but a statewide implementation would mean they would all have to be connected. Major undertaking.
