ALL of us who served honorably in the military swore the lifelong oath to protect the Constitution from ALL enemies, foreign and domestic. We, who served honorably, have never forgotten that oath. Some of our non military leaders seem to forget they swore to protect the Constitution. I Wonder Why?

Everything in the Caribbean has been wildly unlawful and, as much as it pains me to say, every sailor involved needs consequences. Officers in charge all need to be locked up.

I’m a veteran. I pushed back on orders in my time. There were consequences, but that did not matter in the face of doing the right thing.

I hope any service member grappling with their livelihood vs their morality gets the support they need to make the correct choice.

It is unlawful to follow unlawful orders. It’s no small thing for a uniformed service member to push back, but we can’t back down from full consequences for fear of allowing morality to evaporate from our military. Militaries on the whole are quite immoral and we must preserve the little we have.

It's not a sophisticated reaction, but my response to both "quiet, piggy" and the Coast Guard okaying swastikas and nooses is a deep sadness that the compassion we're working so hard to foster in our children will not just be challenged by schoolyard bullies but by the highest levels of society.

Something that’s always kinda irked me -
When speaking about sexual violence against women, there’s always an argument that “she’s someone’s daughter, mother, sister, etc.”
Literally none of that should matter. She is a HUMAN BEING, and her connections to others shouldn’t define her worth.
