In England songs like Away From Here, Oh My God and Living for The Weekend all revelled in this despondent existence. Bad day articulates that feeling of leaning your head against a bus window, trying to think of something nice after work.

I think this song hit at a time where there was a desire for songs that captured office drudgery. Like as much as millennial designed ‘fun’ workplaces are also demoralising, there was a particular feeling of greyness to 9-5 work 99’ to 09’. Think the aesthetic of the British Office.

The people yearn for Bristol

Very much support the sentiment but if ‘as intended’ is your aim, this was absolutely made for Television, and looks great on them.

I’m gonna make a video essay about the Wii first person shooter The Conduit (2009) and it’s going to get one million views.

It only takes a Daredevil (2004) movie here and a Morbius there to remind the public that the bulk of this genre is incoherent and off putting

I think people forget how much ground had to be laid to to make Avengers and MCU P1 such a success. The wider public liking and enjoying superheroes is a flower that needs constant watering…

When Morbius came out I bought a 35cl of Whiskey, smoked a blunt outside The Everyman in Bristol then got trashed in the cinema and thought it was one of the best movies I've seen. Walked out to the only open pub and spent the night chatting to 57 year old women.

It also subverts and changes the story of both Bram Stoker's book and the original Nosferatu when it needs to as well, which makes the third act just freshly intriguing enough to let tension back into the plot.

Soundtrack is A+ as well. It is often understated which contributes the feeling of isolation in the castle, but it ramps up when it needs to. It's slow rhythm matches the pace of the film itself perfectly allowing the audience to soak in the haunting atmosphere of a familiar tale...

That said there is also great use of cinematic lighting especially in the dark interiors. Candles appear to perfectly illuminate The Count otherwise who is otherwise surrounded by the night, wordlessly communicating that it is his domain...

The way dreams are woven into the plot is captivating, similar of the surreal moments in Stalker where the beginning and end of reality are permeable. This feeling is enhanced with such canny use of natural light which makes every location feel so tactile and real...

Just watched Werner Herzog's Nosferatu and it is hands down my favourite movie adaptation of the classic Dracula story. It has beautifully composed shots reminiscent of the Universal/Hammer classics, but is mixed with handheld shots that ground the story so much more...

Watched the original Nosferatu last night (highly recommend) but one point but I couldn't stop laughing at is when Das Vampyre himself is carrying his own coffin around town like he's delivering Ikea furniture

Fully endorse the current Bluesky approach to vids. We all moan when apps try and be other apps, so let BlueSky benefit from not having to incur the huge cost of hosting video.
