This is extremely bad news, but I'll tell you what, @discord.com... I only really got on your platform and created my servers there because Twitter was going to hell. The communities on Discord are not going to stay if we are going to be surveilled. You should look up the thermocline of trust.

I much prefer being around people who try to improve things, even if they ultimately aren't successful, rather than folks who assume nothing will ever change.

Every instance of "AI democratizes the arts, you're classist and ableist and a gatekeeper for trying to stop it" is a slap in the face to the literally centuries of poor, disabled people making art on the margins and a crass lie in service of a machine that strips down and regurgitates dreams

I sorta wish that journalists describing this national push against higher education would somehow acknowledge that control of the public's sources of information and education fits with all the other anti-democratic measures going forward right now.

Northwestern DA to prosecute Worcester ICE protesters After pledging to prosecute illegal ICE activity in his district, David Sullivan is moving forward with assault charges brought by Worcester police against two civilian rapid responders.

The Northwestern DA's Office is prosecuting a former #Worcester city councilor and another community member for allegedly assaulting Worcester cops who were aiding ICE while they used the children of a mother with a valid asylum claim as bait to lure her out and kidnap her.
