I haven't see anyone sharing the video here, so here's the clip of the gorgeous werewolf float from Imperatriz Leopoldinense's Ney Matogrosso tribute parade.

There's got to be a guide for that sort of thing, complete with financial advice.

... tomorrow?

Let's watch some fun, silly, action movies.

You know, as a palate cleanser.

But goddamn-

Is it *great.*

I’ve done some crazy shit exposing myself to disturbing art, to the point that I’m currently writing a book about it, and first-time watching Kill List and I Saw the Devil back to back is still, like, up there

Right? If I still lived in the country, I could see myself taking this up as a hobby.

Not to be clichΓ©d, ha, but it seems I'm a glutton for punishment, a real emotional self-masochist.

... I am hugging Bowie tight, just as a gentle reminder there's still some good in the world.

It was sixteen years overdue, I’d say!

Heh, after Kill List, I'm ready for anything.

(Ha, famous last words, right?)

The feel bad train continues, with my first watch of 2010’s South Korean thriller, I Saw The Devil.

Whoops, just noticed Zak was already in the thread, my b!

First it’s a domestic drama about a midlife crisis and domestic masculinity, then it’s a gritty crime thriller, until finally culminating as suburban folk horror.

And somehow, it works.

… so I did catch some allusions to Arthurian myth but I admit it’s not wholly coalescing in my brain, I’m going to need some writing on that.

… this feels akin, spiritually, to films like Parallax View; the sort of film where it feels as if you’re given the privilege of a glimpse at the perverse underpinnings of reality, a peek into an all-encompassing evil beyond reckoning.

Backed it on Kickstarter immediately.

… h-

Holy shit.

I think I need a minute to process this.

Maybe an hour.

That’s partially why I went for this Hidalgo-esque set up, where it’s less about neck and neck racing and more about cross-country road trip with stakes and structure.

As an aside, Ben Wheatley-wise, I've only ever seen A Field in England, which I *loved.*

So, cautiously optimistic expectations, eh?

Robert Duvall made everything he was in better from crap TV like Time Tunnel to cinema classics like the first two GODFATHER movies. His stoniest performance though came early on as the ethereal Boo Radley in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD (1962). RIP.

I think there's maybe something to the simplicity and cost-effectiveness of DIY dog toys.

I mean, hell-

You know that Huggies box I mentioned the other day, the one my mum gave to me as a gift for Bowie, its edges taped up?

It's still here, still one of Bowie's favourite toys.

Meanwhile, a lot of the *actual* dog toys I've bought are either ignored... or...

STATEMENT FROM LUCIANA DUVALL

Yesterday we said goodbye to my beloved husband, cherished friend, and one of the greatest actors of our time. Bob passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love and comfort.

To the world, he was an Academy Award-winning actor, a director, a storyteller. To me, he was simply everything. His passion for his craft was matched only by his deep love for characters, a great meal, and holding court. For each of his many roles, Bob gave everything to his characters and to the truth of the human spirit they represented. In doing so, he leaves something lasting and unforgettable to us all. Thank you for the years of support you showed Bob and for giving us this time and privacy to celebrate the memories he leaves behind.
