The night of 15 Sept 1980, a B-52 crew is conducting an "alert" at Grand Forks AFB, ND. The crew sleeps by the bomber inside a containment cage on the base surrounded by portable chain link fence, barbed wire, and radar. The B-52s loaded with AGM-69 SRAMs with W69 warheads with up to 200kt of power.
