The Gholam thing... was pretty much done, I think. Never really had much to work with him anyway -- I think he has a half-dozen lines of dialogue in the whole series. It was fun, though.

I may just be shouting into the void, but... our only hope is that we can find some principled people in his orbit who don't feel that way and can restrain him. But he has ruthlessly removed most of those and replaced them with sycophants.

The fact that there are two franchises referred to as "Avatar" is in NO WAY CONFUSING when they both refer to elements like Water and Fire in fundamental ways. "The Way of Water" could be a waterbending move. The next show could be called "Fire and Ash" and that would be in no way inconsistent.

I would say it depends. Standard home, standard situation, then no. But if your crimes have eroded your Threshold to the point that the building is more a business than a Home, then possibly. It really depends more on the perception of the homeowner than either the judge or the vampire officer.

Yeah, same. I don’t remember exactly which it was, but I just a couple days ago I had to add a very common contraction (something like “would’ve”) and I was like 😒.

Also very useful when writing stilted or highly-emotional dialogue.

I was literally up until 3am last night editing a story and removing em-dashes just so nobody thinks it was written by AI. But I LIKE em-dashes. Sometimes a semicolon isn’t appropriate, a comma doesn’t have the cognitive break you need, and you don’t want to stop the sentence completely. 😤

Just once, I want to be surprised. I want to be wrong. But the Cheeto has proven to be utterly, predictably incapable of making anything but the stupidest and / or most evil choices whenever they are presented.
The shame of his election will be with us for decades. And rightly so.

I just have to ask… what did they expect? Did they think “Well we’ll launch some missiles, kill some scientists, and they’ll just go ‘Ope, ya got me’ and give up?”
