I’m still feeling the betrayal of Canada by the Mother Country inviting the President to meet with our King while we are under threat of tariff or worse.

However I hope that following the performance in the Oval today that His Majesty will reconsider

The Church needs another reformation, some of our bishops have completely lost moral credibility, even those who haven’t have abetted those who have at some point or another.

Not really, I just showed up at Church at the beginning of Lent 2022 after some time away getting rid of Mormonism and just loved it out the gate.

We as Anglicans need to start having a proper discussion about safeguarding, in my time in the Church, 3 Archbishops in the Communion as well as many other bishops have been investigated, been forced out of ministry, or resigned. I don’t know how else to see this besides a crisis for the Church.

It can get worse, in an effort to gender neutralize Hark the Herald Angels Sing, the campus chaplain in Edmonton did such a job, that the day after I had to check if he’d become a Gnostic, Edmonton is great.

The resources are used so badly that for the entirety of ordinary time my regular parish didn’t say either of the ecumenical creeds

Yes, the 100 billion dollar rainy day fund of a church that shall not be named once again rears its head as a reason that church will probably never die, even while TEC and the like spiral even as faithful servants.

I went to Christ Church YEG for a while, they have a YouTube channel, are affirming, and during my time there I didn’t get any heresies.

Unironically the BCP, but I’m currently making my way through the Explanation of the Articles by A. P. Forbes which is a more reasonable Anglo-Catholic exploration of the articles

Cartoon of Emma and Joseph in a sitting room holding hands. Below is text that reads β€œThis commandment was also hard for Joseph’s first wife, Emma. Sometimes, Emma helped Joseph decide who he should ask to marry him. Other times, Emma did not want Joseph to marry other women.” This is followed by citations to Doctrine and Covenants 132 verses 51-56, and Volume One of the Saints series pages 482-484, 490, 502, and 504

This, as well as the trauma from the marriage to Fanny would prevent Emma from admitting Joseph engaged in polygamy for the rest of her life. Not only because he had made her complicit but had psychologically tortured her and threatened her with damnation should she go public or resist.

The second lie they tell is that Emma Smith ever consensually chose wives for Joseph Smith. The only situation even close to this was a negotiation between Emma and Joseph that if she chose two wives, he would stop as a mechanism to stop her opposition in early 1843.

Oliver Cowdery being convinced it was an affair. It also deeply traumatized Emma Smith, having caught Joseph raping their daughter at least twice, the second time as obvious signs of pregnancy has already begun to show themselves.

Cartoon image of Joseph Smith praying on his knees by his bed, hands covering his face. Below is text reading β€œA few years later, the Lord told Joseph to marry other women. Joseph didn’t want to marry other wives. But he knew it was a commandment from the Lord. When Joseph asked a woman to marry him, he told her to pray about it. He wanted her to know from the Lord that it was right.” Citations follow to Volume One of The Saints, pages 290-291 and 444-446.

First, they imply that Fanny Alger was able to consent to her marriage with Joseph Smith. At the time of their marriage she was 15, he was 27, she was also his adopted daughter and worked in the Smith household. The marriage was as far as can be told a purely sexual relationship,

TW: CSA, spousal abuse

I finally got around to looking at the new child-friendly (read: lying out the ass) account of polygamy that the Mormons put out on 4 December. The account is expectedly short and lacks important details, however at least two things within it are obvious and damnable lies.

I’ve heard subordinationism from Seventh-Day Adventists, at this point I’m about 99% sure if you don’t explicitly confess Nicaea you’ll be a subordinationist, if not worse
