I'm curious how deeply integrated it is. I assume they're just reading in the tscn and then there's some mapping to objects that are instantiated in Frostbite. But... can you write custom GDScript for things? Surely no custom UI elements or anything.

For most hobbies 😞 Probably because tutorials for beginners are easy to make and get lots of clicks. Once you get past the basics, you essentially go directly into hyper-specific edge cases for everything. In a way, getting past the basics is what school is for but that's not accessible to everybody

I definitely agree that Cloud Atlas was better as an adaptation - that book was a little long and meandering! I think the V for Vendetta adaptation stands on its own besides the book. The book tackles a few different themes, and the artwork is so good in it. I haven't read/seen The Road 😨

I hear "the end user experience kinda sucks on FF" from people sometimes, but I've been daily driving FF for the past ~1 year (used FF for like 15 years, then used Chrome/Edge for 6 years, now back to FF) and it's been totally fine.
