The fact that the OOB families arenโt just purged completely is wack. Youโd think thatโd be at least automated internally for each release.

23.07.2025 03:08 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Gotta give you bonus points for that accurate IES used on the wall area light in the first image ๐ It looks like a NEMA type 2 distribution.
13.06.2025 16:38 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0You can even export natively (!!) from #Revit including materials (!!!!) by importing a DWFX file. Which Max only exports.
13.06.2025 16:22 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Anyone ever use #Autodesk VRED for things besides automotive visualization?
Seems like its renderer has lots of features that make it viable for #ArchViz when compared to Max or even Enscape.
This is a known issue thatโs been brought up on various forums. No idea on a fix though.
15.03.2025 13:47 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Is it just me or does the cloud cover not affect the light amount?
15.03.2025 13:45 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Bonus points if they say to use the python dynamo library.
19.02.2025 15:46 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0If only they were able to release a version that could be locally run.
11.02.2025 15:40 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Thatโs wild. I was under the impression that they had lost the source code long ago. Hopefully they were able to get the internal dev tools too.
11.02.2025 15:38 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I'm not sure that they have the source to even attempt a proper fix.
10.02.2025 23:42 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0How likely is it that this โpausingโ closes revit without saving or syncing?
07.02.2025 17:58 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Wish they had more technical patch notes.
04.02.2025 23:15 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0After trying all the major media players that aren't the default Windows 11 media player. I've discovered that the default media player was the best one for everyday usage all along.
17.01.2025 16:37 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I have a feeling all the commands it lists still work in AutoCAD 2025
14.01.2025 16:24 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Nope. Didnโt work. Guess itโll be a mystery till the end of time.
08.01.2025 21:19 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Itโs kinda wild that thereโs no way to modify how the โLoad Nameโ for an electrical circuit gets populated in #Revit.
02.01.2025 14:43 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The built in sunโs power is actually really dim by default for some reason. Take a look at the โpower of lightsโ section in the manual.
26.12.2024 18:17 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The sun/window light source isnโt really bouncing and filling the scene. Might wanna increase the power of it?
25.12.2024 18:23 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Fun fact, the Project Browser is just a CEF window. You could technically iframe(?) the whole thing in a separate tab.
25.12.2024 18:14 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Someone really likes the pick line tool.
25.12.2024 18:06 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Scan line renders always have certain charm to them not gonna lie.
25.12.2024 18:01 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Speciality Equipment is both Div 11 and Div 10 stuff from my knowledge. That covers almost everything. What would you consider the generic model category for? I donโt recall a specific intention for it.
25.12.2024 17:58 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Iโd wonder if modifying the 'joboptions' file to avoid embedding fonts would resolve the issue? Itโs in the APDFL folder for the curious.
24.12.2024 15:25 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0#Revit users: Have you figured out the font scaling issue for the PDF export yet? It seems that AD's "official" stance is to just use something like Bluebeam but I'd love to stick with the built in exporter.
20.12.2024 14:49 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Digging through the forums, it's a filmic tonemapper. Exporting as an EXR bypasses the tonemapper.
18.12.2024 19:49 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Makes sense. I remember watching a AU presentation where it was all wall geometry, and components with nested generic models. I think your approach makes much more sense though. Less amount of crazy nesting I presume.
17.12.2024 18:30 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Anyone know why #enscape has that unique look to it? Iโd imagine itโs whatever tonemapper but it almost feels like the lighting has a really strong bias towards sunlight.
17.12.2024 18:05 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Did you find it more useful to make families of the detailing or did you use more of the wall sweeps/reveals?

Are the profiles always symmetric about the z-axis / radially? A great thing about IES profiles is the asymmetrical ability.
