As things stand with how Proton is developing there is one thing keeping me anchored to Windows and it's Ableton Live, because I've never gotten it to work reasonably well and without major latency, and I'm not switching to Reaper for so many reasons.

So I ended up pushing the thing like two blocks and then into a building and up an elevator and down a hall and into her apartment. Like… she may as well have had a fucking yellow exclamation mark hovering over her head. 🤣 Yeah sweet old mute lady, I'll take some random XP, no worries.

In other side-quest news I was walking home from the pharmacy yesterday and encountered an elderly woman staring an unpowered electric mobility aid with a basket full of groceries who waved me over as I was approaching. she was mute so I was kinda just like "oh dang, have a seat, I'll push you".

@brennanleemulligan.bsky.social was not improvising, as far as I can tell; he was just genuinely reacting to real Oreo varietals that actually existed, which included Spicy Chicken, Watermelon, and Cookies n' Cream varieties of Oreo. Now I like chocolate cream Oreos, but this is madness.

My sister had not yet seen the Oreo CEO sketch on @dropout.tv and so I was excited to show her.

What I was not prepared for was her pulling out her phone and bringing up the Wikipedia page to confirm that MOST OF THEM ARE REAL.

She spent a solid ten minutes listing Oreo varietals while I screamed.

So out there somewhere is a slightly older clone of my ex down to every single awkward sensibility except that she wasn't afraid of tattoos or piercings, and gods help whomever sets their sights on that.

Also she was in a noodle joint (she eats a lot of East Asian food), she was left-handed, and when she stood up to leave she put on a floppy sun hat (an atrocious choice she nevertheless insisted on any time we went out), so I was freaking out, and then I noticed she had tattoos and was older.

Today while I was out existing I was in a restaurant with my sister and spotted someone who, from behind, looked EXACTLY like one of my exes.

My ex was a white girl who consistently dressed like a chola (plaid shirt, straight-legged jeans, hair in a tight ponytail), so kinda unmistakable.

As someone who was raised with large dogs and had a severe cat allergy (which I thankfully grew out of in my 20s) I will say that disliking cats is an immediate red flag to me. Dogs are great, dog is my first language before English, but you have to understand consent to understand cats, so like… 🤷‍♀️

A sweet little cat sleeping in my bed.

My sister and I have had this little boy since Saturday, December 13th. Sister cannot sleep co-op, so on the very first night I scooped him up when he fell asleep and brought him in my room. He insisted on being snuggled (my arm literally on him) and every night since he climbs into my bed.

12/10 hope you do it more

I am SO EXCITED for this game. Me and my sister look at every update and scream about how much we're looking forward to playing it.
