Honest question: have ANY Minnesota GOP elected officials publicly commented about how their fearless leader was not at the Basilica on Saturday, nor has he said anything in his official capacity about the tragedies that took place here? Anybody implore him to even pretend to do the right thing?

For those of you not watching the MN House floor session right now, the GOP is perpetuating a loop where they try to take the same bill off the table, knowing it doesn't have the votes. They hold the roll open long after everyone votes (15+ minutes), and repeat. Clearly they want to get work done.

The level of cruelty from the modern GOP is almost unfathomable. The blatant racism, lack of basic human empathy... I will never understand how someone can see those actions and say, "Yup, that's how I want my interests to be represented."

Sweet Jesus, we really are one bad idea away from The Running Man, aren't we?
