Sadly. Silverbob is actually quite a good writer, but women have always been his weak point, and his work has aged poorly as a result.

"Up the Line" was poorly received even at the time, though I enjoyed it when I was a teenager. It is kind of a conscious parody of the genre.

Thank you. We had a discussion about just this last night, and how powerful a sincere apology is. At Worldcon, I ruffled feathers moderating a panel, and I took a moment to apologize to the panelists, and to the audience as a whole, then the panelists again after the show, and everyone left smiling.
