I think having the goofiness y/n as a protagonist would be funny as hell contrasted with the seriousness of Poe. Plus, the self-insert nature of y/n and Dante as characters is so spot-on

I'd start with like season one of the original and then the movies, then watch next Gen and its movies, and if you're liking it thus far, I'd go ds9 next.
