2️⃣ Denmark (4th), the UK (5th) and Morocco (6th) lead with strong policy, renewables and low per capita emissions.

Climate Action Tracker Briefing: little change in warming outlook Ten years after the Paris Agreement, Climate Action Tracker’s warming projections show little to no measurable progress for the fourth consecutive year.

While warming projections dropped by about 1°C since 2015, fossil fuel expansion and weak policy progress still block 1.5°C alignment. ▶️Governments must raise ambition and cut emissions faster.

Our report maps emissions, lays out mitigation steps, and reviews policies in China, the EU, Saudi Arabia and the US. It sequences three key strategies:

This week both China and the EU explicitly mentioned plastics in their 2035 NDCs. While these steps are encouraging, greater ambition to decarbonise plastics and eliminate plastic pollution is still needed.
