04.11.2025 18:12 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Yeah, we have some provinces that have discussed it and there's decent support but π€·ββοΈ
03.11.2025 00:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It makes no sense. It feels like everyone is just waiting for someone to make a move? So we're just stuck in a "no one likes this but we'll keep doing it" pattern.
Get everyone one in a room and get it done. I don't even care which time we stay on lol
Not one person has called them that.
03.11.2025 00:20 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So glad we don't do this nonsense here lol
03.11.2025 00:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It also seems the CPC will also get a number of historically conservative things here. So people could be mad at them for being unreasonable too.
Ultimately, it's up to the government to get it passed.
It'll be interesting to see who the people blame, but ultimately I think it'll squeak by. The NDP doesn't have a leader and probably can't afford an election.
02.11.2025 21:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Another boring American finish
02.11.2025 21:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There aren't too many times a hiring goes as bad as absolutely everyone predicted but this was one and it's wonderful.
02.11.2025 18:47 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0And in that pause between pitch and contact - longer than logic, shorter than hope - we remembered why baseball existed long before we judged a sport's value by viral moments and betting apps. It is the romance of failure. The mortal beauty of trying and missing seven times out of 10 and still being considered great. It is the only sport where patience is a weapon, and panic the surest death. You cannot simply run out the clock in baseball; you must face it, pitch by terrifying pitch, until it finally releases you.
Did not expect one of the best paragraphs Iβd read about baseball would come from an Irish newspaper

It's usually based on a percentage of league wide revenue.
02.11.2025 17:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0He's starting to lose his fastball a bit, though. I wonder how much longer he's got. Working with Buck every day is probably draining too.
02.11.2025 16:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Sure. Either way if the Jays aren't a playoff team no one outside of Toronto is watching lol probably still profitable but they're rolling in it this year
02.11.2025 05:59 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Revenue sharing is robust enough that there are many teams that just don't try. They can afford to but won't cause why risk margin?
Force them to spend more and try to get that money.
The Jays are lucky that it is far more advantageous for Rogers if the team is competitive than not. The benefit of having a 40+ million market that rallies when they're good but not otherwise.
02.11.2025 05:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I don't hate the Dodgers for spending. The issue is the teams that don't. The system in baseball allows the wrong owners to not care and print money.
I'm not against a cap in baseball but it needs a significant floor to force half the league to play ball or sell.
I've never necessarily thought baseball needed a hard cap but it needs a floor. The two usually go hand in hand.
02.11.2025 05:43 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0The thing about sports is the losses sting and stick longer than any win.
The Jays could win the next three world series' and this will still be the one they'll think about
Dominic Mysterio ringing the bell while Rusev was on the verge of winning via submission was legitimately great.
02.11.2025 05:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The Jays left approximately 107 runners on base tonight. Including some highly favourable situations. It's on them.
02.11.2025 05:18 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The game tying shot came from their 9 batter for heavens sake.
02.11.2025 05:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Holy team propaganda batman. I kind of get what he's saying, the Dodgers are like 4 guys in a trench coat but they were better and won.
02.11.2025 05:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0No one to blame but themselves
02.11.2025 04:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hogan took shot after shot and wouldn't take the pin.
02.11.2025 04:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0You'd rather Kirk not swing then that
02.11.2025 04:18 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Tragically, a fitting end.
02.11.2025 04:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The game slowly slanted toward the Dodgers as it went along. The Jays needed to score in 9.
02.11.2025 04:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0No excuse for not scoring in the 9th.
02.11.2025 04:08 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0You just felt it coming.
