I really wish the film version of "The Final Programme" has a Hawkwind soundtrack as Moorcock wished. I cannot hear this song without thinking about Jeremy Cornelius.

Years ago, my dad told me about Hawkwind, specifically how he loved their album "Doremi Faso Latida" and that someone stole it from his dorm room back in the 70s.

I surprised him that Christmas with a copy and he was tickled. I was only familiar with Lemmy in Motorhead: Hawkwind was something else.

Last night I dreamed about my parents again.
This time however, they seemed to age backward and became young and healthy again.
The house also slowly restored itself before my eyes.

My dad was smiling.

Mom was able to walk.

I'm glad they're happy.

when you think about it, garfield's eyes and nose and lips are kind of shaped like a beautiful woman with large breasts and and thick thighs and she's sitting on her knees, pointed in, and her feet kicked out to the sides....

13 Black Folk Artists from the American South In honor of Black History Month, take look at some of the most important figures in American art, Black folk artists from the South.

Black History Month post: Outsider Artists from the South

I actually dislike the term 'outsider artist' due to the academic elitism bullshit it upholds.

Also: non-academic artists are usually better than academically trained ones.

The first CD-ROM computer we ever owned had this. I loved it because every room had different categories of software and if you wanted to play a CD you went to the actual entertainment system in the house.

I really miss this kind of UI. Things used to be fun.

Aw thank you so much!
It actually helped a lot: she loved Mister Rogers and Valentine's Day was her favorite so heard this really helped a lot.

Thanks for being an awesome Andy!

I first listened to this on Valentine's Day last year while on my way to see my mom in hospice 8 hours away.

She passed away the next day, but I started singing this song to my daughter every night after that.

Thank you, Andy.

MSG is goated. I saw a video of a man who cooked steaks that had been dry aged in MSG for 25 days. Apparently they tasted like Heaven.

I will say as a somewhat printmaker, Weimar Germany did have the best woodcuts out there so if anything I still have a lot of shit to make art about.

I still miss teaching, but my bestie's parents are both professors at UMass and they correctly call academia "A Nest of Vipers".

Maybe I dodged a bullet.

I nabbed my Masters in 2012 - there was no PhD program for fine arts at the time - and the next step was to somehow get a job in academia.

Har dee har har.

I used to call myself a failed academic but given the current climate on campuses and educators being targets....

Tired
I am so tired of waiting,
Aren't you,
For the world to become good And beautiful and kind?
Let us take a knife
And cut the world in two - And see what worms are eating
At the rind.
Langston Hughes
