The Massachusetts House has taken a major step towards banning trans athletes in sports.

It would be the first blue state to do so.

The amendment has been inserted into the state budget bill.

This is a five alarm fire for trans people in Massachusetts.

Everyone wants there to be a grand scheme behind all of this but the terrible truth is that extremely stupid people are in charge and they have a fanatical devotion to wrong, childlike concepts of society and economics cooked up by right wing radio hosts in order to sell tainted dietary supplements

I don't think people realise how hard Why Everything Stopped Working (2026, penguin random house, I'm writing a book) is going to go. It will make some people very upset, but it's necessary to tell you who made everything stop working and why. My editor is as radicalised as I am. She's incredible.
