Not a fan of MTG. I find her invocation here extreme. I would make no comparison between the two. MTG has reveled in being hateful. At the same time, when Jasmine Crockett took her down during that hearing, it brought me no satisfaction. It was a low point to cut her down with that kind of rhetoric.

What you are saying on the face of it seems right. But make no mistake, this is a misogynistic takedown. The righteousness of the left saddens me in moments like this. It is a weapon we use against ourselves. We can strive for perfection but rare is the person who achieves it, whoever you are.

Did you ever think about what motivated the station to release this raw footage? Did they release raw footage for all the candidate interviews? If not, then why? Who benefits from triggering all our eagerness to judge others? To wipe out years of effort by Porter to do good for constituents?

How quickly we get to "toxic." No one is ever allowed to have a bad moment. Tell me, what do you know of the context and circumstances that led to a few minutes of footage in Sacramento? See the entire interview? Do you know that she has publicly apologized for the incident with the staff member?

Per usual, this is the "bitch effect." Not condoning her being abrupt with employees and volunteers, but at the same time, must say this would be a non-issue if she were a man. How many male political candidates have been rude to reporters or staffers? Would we even hear about it? Not likely.
