If we get a Mariners/Brewers World Series and no network has @tjpilotsfan.bsky.social on I give up

My goal for the 2026 team is for Tyler ONeil to no longer be the highest paid player. Nothing against him per say, just maybe one of the guys who contributes the most should be paid the most

There are lots of beautiful baseball card, but the 1974 Topps Steve Garvey is a masterpiece @heavyjstudios.bsky.social

Here in America stores may have to have them out early. Due to tariffs many places bought theirs much earlier than in the past and there isn’t always storage to keep them in.

People talked about Judge’s HR being a signature moment in the playoffs, think Skubal has his own right there

I keep thinking, I’m not sure I could celebrate that win if I was a fan. It reminds me, my mother would only watch hockey with us when we were kids. The reason, it was the only sport that allowed ties. She just never wanted anyone to leave a loser.

Couldn’t agree with the two of you more, just not how any series should end.

1974 Topps horizontal have hit a spot recently. This Carlton Fisk is a beauty, and taught me that in 1972 Fisk was tied for the league in triples, doubt many catchers have done that

It never ceases to amaze me how little the people who hate the modern game actually understand the modern game of baseball

I’m hoping it’s real. It’s an amazing story and seems like now’s the time to make it

If you look at a story like the 64 team, that could be a doc on its own. Or Dick Allen’s time with the team, so many stories could be told

I’d only argue that the people who fund shows think that. Between Philly, south Jersey, half of PA, Delaware, etc the Phillies have a large market. It’s a real shame, to me, as their are so many great stories

It’s a strange phenomenon, you could say that the Phillies had As championships during that time and maybe that’s why, but the White Sox won some.

Crazy to hear the ESPN booth talk about how challenging Judge last night was a pregame meeting idea when the whole sport knows the Yankees are sloppy on defense. The Dodgers told everyone that was their plan in the World Series last year

I think it’s great that a fan on somewhat of a budget can still go to a playoff game. Buying through the team when they go on sale is crazy expensive

After his t206 portrait I’d say this is the best Bender card

From the outside it seemed like a crazy decision at the time, turned out fantastic but almost seemed like they gave in after one playoff run

The number of replies to this thread that include Torre reminds me that when the Yankees hired him it was a shock. At the time he was a bit of a washed up manager. Just a good reminder that no manager can make a bad team good

I’d guess Hinch and Thompson as the final 2

Theory being that they have a very short career and started with good teams
